**Policy Update**
The Shanghai Municipal People's Government recently released the "Implementation Opinions on the Development of a New Generation of Artificial Intelligence in the City." This policy emphasizes the transformative impact of AI on economic and social development, highlighting trends like deep learning, cross-border integration, human-machine collaboration, and open innovation. It also sets new requirements for emerging technologies such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR), aiming to enhance intelligent manufacturing through AI-driven R&D, production, and remote services.
Furthermore, the document encourages the development of smart hardware products, including AR and VR devices, and supports the industrialization of smart home solutions, security systems, and medical technologies. It also promotes the growth of intelligent unmanned systems in fields like power grid inspection and logistics.
**Industry News**
HTC launched the Vive Focus, a standalone VR headset powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and featuring inside-out tracking for 6DOF movement. The device includes a controller and is designed for comfort, portability, and rich content via the Viveport platform.
