On the night of November 7th, the hammer held a new product launch on such a chilly winter evening. It was all about redefining what "autumn" means. I stayed glued to my computer, watching the live stream with excitement. I've been using the M1L phone (32GB Coffee Gold version) for about a year now: First impression: really good! Second thought: there are some small issues, but they’re manageable. (A lot of Hammer fans have asked me what the little problems are. Well, let me share one example: when you connect the phone to a computer via a Type-C cable, it doesn't show up in the file explorer. That’s annoying. Also, there's a glitch where if you send a photo from WeChat to QQ, the preview shows a different image than the actual one sent. These are real issues that exist.) Third point: the biggest downside for me is that this phone doesn’t support TF card expansion. I watch a lot of videos locally, and 32GB isn’t enough. After a factory reset, I only have around 20GB left. If it had TF support, I’d buy a 128GB card and feel much more satisfied. Talking about the Nut Pro 2 launch event, it was originally meant to introduce the Nut Pro 2 at a starting price of 2,000 yuan. The highest variant, 6G+256GB, is priced at 3,299 yuan, while the lowest, 4G+32GB, starts at 1,799 yuan. ![Image 1](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bb5ec231901.jpg) ![Image 2](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bb38f158737.jpg) ![Image 3](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bb97f7a192.jpg) I want to remind everyone again that the Nut Pro 2 does NOT support TF card expansion. So, if you take a lot of photos or shoot a lot of videos, the 32GB version might not be enough. I didn’t even mention that. ![Image 4](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bba903b4326.jpg) ![Image 5](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bbbe3b91262.jpg) ![Image 6](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bc075021413.jpg) At the event, Luo Luo presented the design of the Nut Pro 2 and compared it to flagship models. He showcased three color options: white, red wine, and a unique red line version. ![Image 7](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bc710bc9807.jpg) ![Image 8](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bc8ac998888.jpg) ![Image 9](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bc9a1312661.jpg) During the presentation, a photo was shown to illustrate the power efficiency of the phone. It used a “gorilla eating a banana” analogy. Everyone knows it uses the Snapdragon 660 processor. ![Image 10](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bd3b9c87428.jpg) ![Image 11](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bd34a882526.jpg) Luo Luo also introduced the Snapdragon 660, which is the mid-range flagship of Qualcomm this year. From my experience with the VIVO X20, it performs well—good power saving and performance. ![Image 12](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bd42b921941.jpg) He honestly admitted that the full-screen design still feels like a 16:9 screen, and the notch is slightly larger than expected. But he called it artistic and factual. ![Image 13](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bdbb9586350.jpg) The full-screen display was promoted as 18:9, but many manufacturers actually use 2:1 screens. It's a bit misleading. ![Image 14](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/be3da938694.jpg) Luo also addressed gamers by showing how the Pro 2 supports high frame rate mode. I tested it on the VIVO X20 and found it smooth and fast. Whether it's due to game optimization or the chip itself, it works well. ![Image 15](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/be38b471708.jpg) He mentioned that the full-screen design gives a wider field of view, helping players spot enemies faster. I haven’t tested it yet, but it sounds promising. ![Image 16](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/be4f3897040.jpg) Fingerprint and face recognition were covered. While fingerprint is standard, face recognition is a newer feature. Luo admitted it’s less secure than Apple’s 3D facial recognition and isn’t as advanced as others. ![Image 17](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bf03e952961.jpg) ![Image 18](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bed58d26595.jpg) The camera is dual-lens, using Sony’s IMX386 main sensor and Samsung’s depth lens. It’s similar to Huawei’s dual-camera setup, but I think it’s more of a marketing gimmick. Even a single camera would be sufficient. ![Image 19](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bea2b52709.jpg) ![Image 20](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bf1563f7314.jpg) ![Image 21](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bf451d51242.jpg) The beauty algorithm was another highlight. It claims to adjust based on popularity and praise, but it felt a bit forced and awkward. ![Image 22](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bf884181421.jpg) ![Image 23](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bf92ec5485.jpg) The conference lasted about two hours. Zhu Xiaomu, the director of technology products, introduced software updates for several apps like One Step, Big Explosion, and Flash Capsules. These tools are very useful and continue to improve. ![Image 24](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/c017f218043.jpg) ![Image 25](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/bfa63a39318.jpg) The Nut Pro 2 also included features for people with disabilities, though the details weren’t very clear. Still, it's a positive step. ![Image 26](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/5a/01/c6/c02f3c46442.jpg) Finally, Luo went off-topic, talking about air purifiers. It felt a bit random, but I suppose it's part of his style. **In summary**, even though I haven't used the Nut Pro 2 yet, based on the presentation, I can see both pros and cons: **Pros**: 1. Unique design with multiple color options. 2. Exclusive Hammer apps that are user-friendly. 3. Supports QC3.0 fast charging via Type-C port. **Cons**: 1. No TF card expansion. 2. Some features like NFC are missing in lower versions. 3. Not a curved screen or 2.5D glass, which feels a bit outdated. Overall, the Nut Pro 2 seems to be moving closer to mainstream trends. Even some of Luo’s old habits, like focusing on beauty features, have evolved to match current expectations. The design has changed, and the tone of the event was more relaxed. Luo admitted this year won’t be profitable, relying on events like this to keep things going.
