Another case involved a grille screen and glass curtain wall display, where structural constraints led to uneven voltage distribution across the panel. This caused high IC power consumption, overheating, and color deviation. The SM16227’s low inflection point voltage effectively resolved these issues.
- **32-Level Current Gain Adjustment:** Offers more precise white balance control and enables brightness adjustment without losing grayscale, even under varying ambient lighting conditions.
- **DS-PWM Protocol:** Enhances refresh rate and utilization. In one test, a 2-sweep configuration achieved a refresh rate of 7680Hz, allowing for high-quality photography without scan lines or loss of gray scale.
- **Built-in Functions:** Includes column elimination, color cast compensation, and other features that address issues like smearing and dark spots caused by high scanning rates.
The SM16227 not only reduces power consumption and heat generation but also improves display performance and longevity. For outdoor LED displays, which often operate with lower scan rates, the DS-PWM technology ensures excellent refresh quality while remaining a cost-effective energy-saving solution.
