On October 17, Chinese astronauts Jing Haipeng and Chen Dong drove the Shenzhou 11 manned spaceship to begin a space journey. The Shenzhou 11 spacecraft was developed by the China Academy of Space Technology. After two days of independent flight, the spacecraft was automatically docked with the Tiangong No. 2 Space Laboratory to form a combination. Shenzhou 11 is a transition from the second step to the third step in the three-step Chinese manned spaceflight project, preparing for the construction of a manned space station in China. The Shenzhou 11 mission is China's sixth manned mission and the longest manned mission in China with a total flight time of 33 days. On November 18th, it successfully returned. On the afternoon of November 22nd, the opening ceremony of the returning space of the Shenzhou 11 spacecraft was held.
Medical laboratory biological samples, special crops and medicinal seeds (seedlings), commemorating Hada, Weifang kites... These "babies" who just completed the space tour were unveiled.
With the release of the opening instructions, the slowly raised aerial work vehicle sent the staff to the top of the return capsule, and the staff skillfully turned a special "key" to open the hatch.
The staff enters the cabin and successively removes the packaged items, which are inspected by a notary public and selectively unpacked.
The items that were handed over were not only those that took the Shenzhou 11 spacecraft for 33 days, but also those that were followed by the Tiangong-2 Space Laboratory for 66 days and brought back by the astronauts.
The items carried on site include: medical laboratory biological samples of the research team of the PLA General Hospital, space experimental devices designed by middle school students in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and special crops and medicinal seeds (seedlings) in Yunnan, Ningxia, Shaanxi and other provinces. Hada, kites in Weifang, Shandong, etc.
Representatives from Hong Kong showed live cocoons brought back from space. Mai Dengbi, president of the Hong Kong Productivity Council, said: This proves that under the microgravity, silkworm silkworms still have an effect. We have a silk road on land, a silk road with sea, and a silk road with space. This is very meaningful.
Officials from the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region who attended the handover ceremony said that it would be very important for the seed to mutate and breed after a period of time in the space.
In addition to these items, there are also some daily necessities and fitness equipment that astronauts bring in when they are in the Tiangong-2. For example, bicycles for exercise should be packed and brought back. Residual food waste, sanitary waste, and some garbage generated in the on-orbit experiment, such as batteries and electrodes, must be packed and placed in the orbital module, and then destroyed as the orbital module falls into the atmosphere.
The Tiangong 2 is equipped with 18 special materials. Scientists try to explore various materials through high-temperature heating in low-gravity environments, most of which will be brought back to the ground.
Among the 12 scientific experiments brought by the astronauts along with the Shenzhou 11 spacecraft, include semiconductor optoelectronic materials, nano and its composite materials, and metal single crystal growth. The other six samples were left in place to provide basic technical data for researchers to understand the characteristics of space and ground heat transfer. Flying higher because the future manned space station has a higher orbital position. In the past, when Shenzhou 10 and Tiangong No. 1 docked, the orbital height was 343 kilometers, while the orbital height of Shenzhou 11 and Tiangong 2 was 393 kilometers, 50 kilometers higher than in the past. This is basically the same as the orbital height of the future space station, and the flight is closer to the requirements of the future space station. Flying higher is more demanding on the spacecraft, which means that the control of the spacecraft during the rendezvous and docking is different from that of Shenzhou-10, and it needs to be continuously changed.
