Jiangxi manufacturers adopt Guangdong LED standard

Recently, Jiangxi Ojis announced that it has cooperated with Shenzhen Changyuntong Optoelectronics and adopted the Guangdong LED (Light Emitting Diode) standard to release new technologies and new products for “de-illuminating LED standard optical components”. This is the first time that Guangdong's LED standard has been adopted by enterprises in other provinces. Industry insiders believe that this standard is expected to be upgraded to an industry-wide standard.

Standards determine the quality, Guangdong Provincial Benchmarking Quality Federation Secretary Hong Zhen said: “AQSIQ announced the 2013 national LED lighting product quality supervision and spot check results show that LED lighting products sampling pass rate of less than 80%. Guangdong LED output value is close to Half of the country, the first to introduce standards, has received a group of companies to respond, is expected to become the industry standard."

According to Hong Zhen's introduction, the Guangdong LED standard light module specification has been applied for by a number of companies. At present, the proposal of joint declaration of the TCL Group, Foshan Lighting (000541, shares bar), and Changyuntong Optoelectronics has been approved, and several companies have been established. The “LED Lighting Standard Optical Component Inspection Laboratory” is used to test standard optical component products within companies and joint proposal companies. At present, NVC and Jingke Electronics have become the first batch of units that have obtained the authorized “Laboratory for Testing of LED Lighting Standard Optical Components”. National Star Optoelectronics (002449, stock it), Hongli Optoelectronics (300219, shares it), Chau Ming Technology (300232, stocks) recently passed the qualification review and on-site inspections, becoming the second batch of authorized testing laboratories.

According to the regulations, standard optical components inspections shall not be less than 10 standard optical components that have been developed, used, or promoted by the joint laboratories authorized by the company every year, or more than 30 in three years; the total amount of LED lighting standard optical component products is promised to be produced and sold annually. Not less than 10 million yuan.

To this end, some authorized companies have begun to vigorously promote their lighting products. For example, NVC Lighting's 200,000 LED standard light module products have been the first to achieve labeling sales. These products have now been rolled out in markets such as Guangdong, Guangxi, Shanghai and Zhejiang, and have achieved a good sales volume, only Guangzhou, Shenzhen sold 30,000 units in just a few days.
