Sanya promotes rural household roof photovoltaic project construction "green road to wealth"

Sanya has made full use of its abundant sunshine hours by implementing photovoltaic power generation projects, aiming to boost farmers' income while promoting energy conservation and emission reduction. On the afternoon of January 5th, the 21st executive meeting of the Sanya municipal government reviewed and approved the "Implementation Plan for Promoting Rural Household Rooftop Photovoltaic Projects in Sanya City." The plan sets a goal to achieve full coverage of rooftop photovoltaic projects across 92 village committees and farms that have completed localized management by 2020. ![Rooftop Solar Panels in Sanya](http://i.bosscdn.com/blog/6F/EC/65/1C22457232m.jpg) The initiative aligns with the development of a beautiful countryside, encouraging the continuous growth of rural photovoltaic power generation. It positions the construction of these projects as a key strategy to increase farmers' income, accelerate the adoption of solar energy in households, and implement various measures to guide both village collectives and individual farmers in building their own rooftop solar systems. This effort aims to narrow the income gap between urban and rural residents and establish a "green path to wealth." To achieve this, Sanya plans to adopt three different construction models. The first is the self-investment model, where rural residents build the system themselves, and all project proceeds go directly to them. The second involves cooperative investment between enterprises and local residents, with profits shared based on the terms of their agreement. The third model is enterprise-led investment, where the company manages the project, and the profits are returned to the enterprise. In return, the enterprise provides rural residents with certain subsidies as outlined in the contract. According to reports, the city's 60,000 photovoltaic projects are expected to generate 240 million kWh annually, reducing carbon emissions by approximately 168,000 metric tons. Over a 20-year period, the total projected electricity output will reach 4.8 billion kWh, cutting carbon emissions by around 3.36 million metric tons. These benefits are significant and demonstrate the long-term value of the program. The photovoltaic power generation projects will also focus on integrating solar installations with rooftops and building facades, ensuring they harmonize with the surrounding environment. This approach not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of rural areas but also contributes to the overall beauty of Sanya, turning solar panels into a symbol of sustainable development and rural prosperity.
