Some might not be familiar with this brand. Cooltech was established by Skyworth and inherited its 30 years of expertise in TV manufacturing. Cooltech actually launched in 2006 and has witnessed the evolution of the TV industry over the past decade. In fact, Cooltech can be credited as one of the pioneers of the Internet TV brand.

On June 6th, Cooltech held a press conference in Beijing and unveiled the new A3 series of televisions. They’ve carried forward the "HIFI content" feature from the previous A2 series while incorporating blue light protection and AI voice capabilities—recently trending technologies. Highlighting blue light protection is quite uncommon in the industry. Based on previous evaluations from Zhongguancun, we can confirm that the Cool Open 55A3 TV's anti-blue light feature is particularly effective.
The internal structure of the packaging is compact and efficient, with dual protection provided by foam boards and a sturdy outer shell. Since I've personally reviewed this TV before, I'm already familiar with the unboxing and setup process, so I’ll dive straight into the installation.
From a product configuration standpoint, the 55A3’s six JBL speakers are quite impressive. The TV features an all-metal body, an original LGD IPS 4K hard screen, and the latest flagship chip, Mstar 6A938, which handles both online and local 4K video decoding seamlessly. It also includes 3GB of DDR3 triple-channel memory and 16GB of eMMC5.0 storage.

The back of the TV has a solid metal design that gives it a tough appearance. The 55A3 continues the audio strengths of its predecessor, the A2 series, embedding six JBL original speakers. It uses a high-end three-way design with two silk film tweeters, two high-frequency units, and two 3-inch low-frequency units, enhancing sound detail levels. Additionally, there are two independent subwoofers at the back, showcasing a premium audio configuration.

It retains Cooltech’s minimalist design style, featuring a compact body with a matte black finish. The key press texture is excellent, and the simple 11-key layout ensures ease of use, even for older users or children. Notably, all six TVs participating in the evaluation have Bluetooth voice functionality, making operations faster and smoother.
The Cool Open 55A3 TV breaks away from traditional designs while continuing the simplicity of the A2 series. Its extremely narrow bezels enhance the screen-to-body ratio, offering a broader viewing experience. Unlike previous models, the 55A3 has a predominantly black color scheme with a gray linen front panel, elevating the product's premium appeal and exuding an overall sense of elegance. The iconic orange Cool logo in the lower right corner adds a youthful energy.
