Sony Releases World's First Google TV TV

On the evening of October 12, Sony released the world’s first Internet TV based on the Google TV platform in New York. Users can easily surf the Internet and download various applications while watching HDTVs.

The new platform LCD TV is part of the Internet TV GT1 series. It is powered by the Google TV platform and covers many applications such as the Andriod system, Chrome browser, search, and Google Maps. The Intel Atom processor is built into the hardware for Internet and TV content. The search provides strong support.

Like the models previously unveiled, the Internet TV GT1 is divided into four models: the 24-inch NSX-24GT1, the 32-inch NSX-32GT1, the 40-inch NSX-40GT1, and the 46-inch NSX-46GT1. They will be available on the Sony's official website on October 16. On sale, it landed on Best Buy on October 24 and was priced at $599.99, $799.99, $999.99, and $1399.99, respectively.

In addition to the 24-inch NSX-24GT1 using the CCFL backlight, other TVs are edge-type LED backlight models that support 1080P HD video and provide HDMI and USBx4 interfaces.

Internet TV GT1 TV provides Dual View dual screen function, allowing users to watch TV while performing Internet operations such as information search.

In order to meet the user's personal preferences, users can also download and add various applications through the Android Market (opened early next year). The new TV will also provide Qriocity video service, pre-installed YouTube, CNBC, NBA and other application connections. It also supports WiFi wireless connection to home broadband networks.

Not only that, Sony also designed an easy-to-use RF remote keypad for users. It has built-in optical mouse function, above is the common TV remote control button, below is the QWERTY keyboard. In addition, after downloading the related applications, the control of the TV can be achieved through the Andriod mobile phone.

In addition, Sony also offers a Blu-ray player NSZ-GT1 supporting the Google TV platform, which sells for $399.99.
