In today's Qualcomm announcement, it has reached a patent licensing agreement with Zhuhai Meizu Technology on the basis of equal negotiations. Pursuant to the terms of the agreement signed by the two parties, Qualcomm granted Meizu the worldwide license to develop, manufacture and sell CDMA2000, WCDMA and 4G LTE (including "three-mode" GSM, TD-SCDMA and LTE-TDD) terminals. According to Qualcomm, Meizu’s patent fees payable in China are consistent with Qualcomm’s provisions for corrective actions submitted by the National Development and Reform Commission of the People’s Republic of China. The agreement resolves all patent disputes between Qualcomm and Meizu in China, Germany, France and the United States. Qualcomm and Meizu have agreed to take appropriate steps to terminate or withdraw patent infringement litigation and related patent invalidation or other related litigation.
