Mouser Electronics has announced the availability of the Texas InstrumentsTM DSDCDC LED KIT TMS320C2000TM DC/DC LED Lighting Development Kit.
The Texas InstrumentsTM DSDCDCLEDKIT TMS320C2000TM DC/DC LED Lighting Development Kit includes all the hardware and software needed to start and develop a digitally controlled LED DC/DC system. TI TMDSDCDCLEDKIT implements its functionality based on Piccolo microcontrollers and the controlCARD development platform. The Piccolo MCU can directly control the DC/DC power stage and can also control eight LED strings. The TI LED Lighting Kit includes a development board with a 12-48 VDC voltage input and a SEPIC DC/DC topology to reduce or increase the input voltage to the required size. This voltage is used to supply four sets of LED drive levels, each of which can drive two LED strings, each with a power of 30 watts. TI TMDSDCDCLEDKIT includes closed-loop open source software for DC/DC power stages and LED lighting levels. The kit hardware is also completely open source, and all gerber files, drawings and bills of materials are available for free.
