Aishida executives have publicly stated that “entering small household appliances is a pressure on the profit of listed companies” and hopes to acquire “the income and profit brought by small household appliances in the future will be comparable to that of cooking utensils”.

The oligopoly is gradually forming

In recent years, there have been many cases of mergers and acquisitions in the domestic appliance industry, such as the acquisition of Supor by France’s Saibo Group and the purchase of small household electrical appliance businesses by Aishida. Why do small home appliance industry mergers and acquisitions occur frequently?

Luo Qingqi pointed out that small household appliances have entered the mid to late stage of a period of full competition, market share has been occupied by major companies, small-share companies have gradually withdrawn, and acquisitions and mergers have begun to become frequent.

The acquisition will take place in two phases. The first phase will be the acquisition within the industry, which means the acquisition of small appliances by small household appliances; the second phase will be the cross-industry acquisition, that is, the home appliance purchases small household appliances.
