News that Heshuo gets 15 million iPhone 5 orders

On July 5th, according to Taiwan’s “Electronic Times” news, the upstream parts supplier revealed that well-known Taiwanese foundry Shanghe Shuo has received Apple’s 15 million iPhone 5 orders, which are scheduled to ship in September this year. He Shuo declined to comment.

Heshuo became one of the founders of Apple's iPhone 4 in 2010, and got orders for 10 million CDMA iPhones from Apple. The sales of CDMA iPhone 4 in the first quarter of this year were far lower than expected. Less than 4 million units, its gross profit margin also fell to a new low, only 1.8%.

Upstream parts suppliers said that they have begun to supply them to Heshuo. Heshuo's foundry in Shanghai is also actively recruiting employees. Parts suppliers said that the upcoming iPhone 5 will not have much of an upgrade compared to the iPhone 4, and the iPhone 5 is expected to ship in September and will be available in October.

Another source said that in addition to the iPhone, Heshuo is also actively seeking iPad and Macbook orders, but there is no progress at this stage.
