German World Herald: In the report of the EU Chamber of Commerce and Industry, I am very worried about the repeated construction in 2025. I recently read a report you wrote about, but also have the same concerns, especially the production of robots. Can you elaborate on your point of view in this regard? Thank you.

Miao Wei: We have noticed that in the past in the development of some industries, the “Made in China 2025” did experience a low level of duplicate construction problems during the implementation process. Therefore, during the past year, we repeatedly communicated with colleagues in the province, researched and established a list of industries with key advantages in various sub-sectors, and tried to use this method to let provinces and cities find out their advantages. Concentrate on supporting these advantageous industries and advantageous enterprises to stand out in these segments. In addition, by avoiding low-level redundant construction in this way, we can achieve a differentiated development pattern. We have a good example of the robot you mentioned just now. I would like to ask my colleague, Vice Minister Xin Guobin, to answer this question.

Xin Guobin: The issue of duplicated construction in the robot industry has already attracted our attention. According to our incomplete understanding, more than 20 provinces and cities nationwide have nurtured and promoted robots as key industries. In recent years, the pace of industrial development has been rapid. There have been more than 40 robotic industrial parks built and under construction in the country. In just a few years, the number of robotics companies has exceeded 800. There is indeed a problem as pointed out by the reporter. In terms of self-owned brands, most of our industrial robots are also low-end and mid-range products. Six-axis or more multi-joint robots have relatively low supply capabilities. Therefore, we do feel that robots are In this area, there are risks of low-end high-end industries and excess production capacity of low-end products. In the specific work process, we now strengthen communication and exchanges with various provinces and cities, including the Robotics Industry Alliance, and have formulated guidelines for the implementation of differentiated provinces and cities in accordance with the overall deployment and requirements of China Manufacturing 2025. There are also a series of policies, such as the development of industry robot access conditions, and the improvement of access barriers, and the promotion of scientific development and rational development in various regions. Thank you.
