It is reported that the detected unqualified products mainly have the problems of unqualified conductor resistance, unsatisfactory tensile strength, non-standard mark content and product labeling methods, and unqualified thickness. It involves several companies such as the eighth branch of Shanghai Huatong Machinery & Electrical (Group) Co., Ltd., the Aegean Wire Operation Department of Xuhui District, Shanghai, and the Chaofeng Hardware & Electrical Operation Department of Shanghai Huangpu District. The department of industry and commerce pointed out that these unqualified products are prone to causing heating of electric wires, causing fire, electric leakage and other dangers, and endangering the safety of personal and property.

In response, the industry and commerce department reminds consumers to pay attention to the following three points when choosing wires and cables: First, wire and cable are national compulsory certification products, and consumers must confirm whether the product passes the "3C" certification; The home lighting circuit should use 1.5 square meters or more wire, air conditioners, microwave ovens and other power household appliances should use 2.5 square meters and above specifications wire; its three, when you buy, look at the appearance of wire and cable, should be smooth, Insulation and jacket layer is not damaged, logo printing is clear, hand touch without greasy feeling; look at the cross section of wire and cable, the thickness of the entire circumference should be uniform, not biased core, in addition, insulation or jacket should have a certain thickness.
