**Safety and Operation Instructions for Autoclave:**
1. The sterilizer’s power socket must be connected to a grounded electrical system. Always ensure the plug is fully inserted into the outlet. Avoid damaging the power cord or using an alternative cord that is not specified by the manufacturer. The grounding pin on the power cable should make proper contact with the socket to provide effective protection against electric shocks.
2. After one year of use, the safety valve and pressure gauge must be inspected and calibrated by a certified testing and measurement department to ensure their continued accuracy and reliability.
3. When loading items into the autoclave, leave space between them and arrange them in layers on the perforated tray. This arrangement allows steam to circulate more effectively, enhancing the sterilization process and ensuring even heat distribution.
4. Before starting the heating process, make sure the power cord is properly plugged in and that the grounding pin makes good contact with the socket. At the beginning of the cycle, place the steam vent valve in the vertical open position to allow cold air to escape. As steam begins to flow from the valve, adjust it back to its original position. Once the pressure reaches the required level, regulate the heat source to maintain steady pressure and start timing the sterilization process. Adjust the duration based on the type of items and packaging used.
5. If you need to dry the items after sterilization, release the steam through the vent valve at the end of the cycle. Wait until the pressure gauge returns to zero, then wait an additional 1–2 minutes before opening the lid. You may also continue heating for a few minutes to help dry the items thoroughly.
6. Never release the steam immediately after the sterilization cycle ends. Doing so can cause sudden pressure changes, leading to serious accidents like container rupture or liquid spillage. Instead, turn off the heat source and allow the unit to cool naturally for 20–30 minutes. Wait until the pressure gauge returns to zero, then slowly open the vent valve and slightly lift the lid. Leave the chamber unattended until it has cooled sufficiently before removing the items. This step ensures safe and effective operation of the autoclave.
