Guardmaster 440C-CR30 Programmable Safety Relay Configurable with Integrated Programming Configuration Software
(Milwaukee, April 3, 2014) With the Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley Guardmaster 440C-CR30 programmable safety relay, machine manufacturers can now easily implement the required safety functions while increasing productivity.
Users can program programmable safety relays using the integrated programming configuration software provided by Rockwell Automation. Integral programming configuration software reduces programming time and helps users create, control and monitor safety systems using the same software environment as standard controls for increased productivity. The Guardmaster 440C-CR30 programmable safety relay has a safety rating of PLe (EN ISO 13849-1) and SIL 3 (IEC 62061) and is ideal for applications that require the use of 4 to 9 safety circuits and control of up to 5 zones.

The integrated programming configuration software has a drag-and-drop function and a clear graphical user interface that guides the user through a simple process to select a certified safety function block for programmable safety relays. Programmable safety relays are programmed to easily send diagnostic data to the Allen Bradley Micro800 controller, Allen-Bradley PanelView graphic terminal, or Allen Bradley CompactLogix controller using the embedded Modbus interface. With embedded communications capabilities and software, users can easily monitor and troubleshoot their applications, and can quickly modify as needed, including performing local or conditional shutdowns. The five status LEDs and 16 user configurable LEDs on the programmable safety relay panel provide local diagnostics and provide further assistance with status reporting and troubleshooting. 
The Guardmaster 440C-CR30 programmable safety relay has 22 built-in safety I/O points (including 6 configurable I/Os), making it ideal for applications requiring multiple safety zones. It can also be expanded to support 16 additional standard I/O points using two standard Micro800 functional plug-in modules to save valuable I/O points for the user's safety system without increasing the use of programmable safety relays. space. The programmable safety relay also enables interoperability with multiple standard control platforms, allowing the same safety control to be maintained even when standard controls change.
