It is reported that LG has exhibited a 55-inch double-sided television and a 111-inch curved screen double-sided television. Both TVs use OLED imaging technology. The imaging layer emits light directly and does not need to be equipped with a light-emitting layer as an ordinary TFT-LCD screen.
“If there are no auxiliary layers such as backlights, OLED displays are actually less complex and less expensive to manufacture than liquid crystals,†said Dr. Ching W. Tang, one of the pioneers of OLED technology.
It is worth mentioning that LG also displayed an OLED display code named "Wallpaper". The thickness is less than 1mm! The 55-inch two-sided TV is equipped with this display.
The other 111-inch TV is composed of three 65-inch horizontally curved 4K panels that form a curved screen and support two-sided imaging, allowing two viewers to watch different sides of the TV at the same time.
Unfortunately, the technology is still in the prototype stage, but from the perspective of LG's confidence in its own OLED technology, it is believed that mass production in the near future will not be a problem.
